I think that may of been the issue with mine, even though i has strong signal. Whenever possible connect to Eithernet, that will solve all problems, or if you can't, get few EoP (Eothernet-Over-Power) adapters.
My Apple TV 4 has worked flawlessly for the past few months. As of last week the device would no longer connect to my wifi network.
